Azimut Milan
Our firm proudly undertook the design and project management (PM) of Azimut's new headquarters on Corso Venezia in Milan, Italy, in close collaboration with Il Prisma Milano. A standout feature of this project was our responsibility for the hardware and software development of the interactive HoloTower. This innovative element was brought to life through the expertise of Massimo Tonon, who handled the software, and Gianluca Signaroldi, who developed the graphic concept and layout.
Navigating the modification of a building imbued with significant history and undeniable historical value—irrespective of its original aesthetic—always presents a complex set of considerations. A fundamental challenge often revolves around adapting its intended use or making it viable for contemporary living. This crucial understanding dictates that our intervention can never be predetermined by a pre-adapted project or a standardized blueprint. Instead, every engagement with historic architecture demands a bespoke, almost "tailoring" approach. This means the design is meticulously crafted to literally "dress" the existing walls and columns, ensuring a harmonious and respectful integration with the building's inherent character.
